Responsibilities:
- Install new file servers, PCs, firewalls, routers, switches, WAPs, backups, and printers
- Maintain and support existing file servers, PCs, firewalls, routers, switches, WAPs, and printers
- Provide technical support to clients via phone, email, remote visits, and on-site visits
- Create and maintain network documentation
- Work with patch management & monitoring software
- Manage patches and updates; install third party patches and updates to client environment
- Resolve patch issues with patch installations
- Monitor backup jobs daily and remediate any issues
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree preferred, but not required
- Three+ years of professional technical experience required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent follow-up skills
- Proven knowledge of troubleshooting techniques
- Strong background in client service and support
- Experience with installing and maintaining file servers and PCs
- Windows Server administration
- Active Directory administration and support
- Group Policy administration and support
- TCP/IP networking, including DNS and DHCP
- MS Exchange administration and support
- Experience with server backup solutions
- Expert knowledge of Device Manager and computer hardware
- Experience implementing firewalls, routers, switches, and WAPs
- Experience with spyware and virus removal
